Individual Psychotherapy

It’s such a tough time to be making your way through life right now. We’re facing challenges as human beings that are completely new to us at an unparalleled pace, and being asked to get it right on our first try. Our bodies and minds are taxed to the limit. On top of that, we have to do it all against the backdrop of traumas being played out on a local and global level. Having a place to talk it all out without judgement can be a respite from everything.

Somatic Experiencing

Somatic Experiencing is a technique developed to regulate your nervous system so that your body recognizes that it is safe to feel relaxed and at rest and is no longer stuck in a state of tension. Humans are not very good at releasing stress from our bodies, and this technique helps us come to a more regulated baseline by slowly and systematically releasing stress from the body. While we still do talk during sessions, we’re placing our attention on the body more than the mind.

Neurodivergence and Mindfulness

I have lived experience with both neurodivergence as well as mindfulness-related distress. Using the tools of SE as well as other body-mind approaches, we can work together to find strengths within your neurodivergence and to regain a sense of ease within your mindfulness practice.

Chronic Pain

The way the brain understands pain has much to do with the nervous system. Mind-body tools can be a great help in reducing the amount of distress chronic pain has on your life.
